Has it got to be white wine?. I'd settle for Red with mine; but I am the sort of person who dislikes wine snobbery and I go along with Alexis Lichine (an authority on wine , and a wine producer; albeit 40 years ago.) who took the view that if you like it then why not drink it. and it's all a matter of personal preferences as regards what wine goes with what food.....Ron
