I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise.
I have been feeding a feral cat at work for nearly 18 years now. I named her Shadow and sheis a beautiful cat. She has winter bed and summer bed and is well taken care of.
She is tone deaf now with being old and has started to drink a lot of water too which I know is a bad sign. The thing is, All those years she never made a sound, not even a meow.
Recently over the past few eeks she has been making strange noises. More like the sound of a Seagull. She did this twice today and she will not allow anyone near her. She has never been handled in her life. Do different cat calls mean different things. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, cruella. Why don't you try & get a cat trap from the CPL & put some food in it for her? Hopefully, you'll be able to catch her then & take her to a vet to have her checked over? If you've got a local animal sanctuary, they'll probably lend you a trap & if she goes in it, you won't have to handle her, as it's like a carrying basket. Good luck!
p.s. I've got to try & get one of my old ladies into the cat carrier today (should be fun...!) - she's limping & there's what looks like a little puncture wound on one of her pads, so it's off to the vet's for us, too. K xx
