2. found Giacomo Leopardi b. 1798 - without the eye/i = leopard. Is that the answer you have?

So far, haven't got anywhere with the first one - have you any idea who Susan Valance is?

Leopardi is the poet. So remove the i which will make him eyeless and you have leopard.

1. maybe relates to Susan Vance, played by Katherine Hepburn in the 1938 film Bringing Up Baby - which involved a leopard. I see what you mean - the same answer for both questions....

thank you smouse they mostly put if answer fits more than one question that is what put me off. got my nch back this morning yet again one wrong that is three in a week with one wrong but not bad as i only started doing these a few months ago till then just did what i got local thanks again for that i will now carry on cheers T
