i just posted this question and for some reason it didnt come up....cant remember what i wrote now! im 32 weeks and 2 days. think the babys head may be engaging as i have weird pressure on my lady bits and almost like its touching nerves and sometimes feel hands in my groin! isnt this supposed to happen 4 weeks before? ive got 2 months to go yet! or is this just normal feelings for this stage?

Hi

My baby's head engaged at about 30 weeks but he stayed put until 42 weeks!
I understand what you mean about the hands, I used to get a sensation like finger-nails scraping against my cervix (sorry if TMI).

Your mw will be able to tell you if/how far engaged baby's head is. Its the most confusing thing; some people measure how much of the head is in the pelvis (engaged) while others measure how much of the head is still free (palpable). Make sure you ask which method the mw is using.

Hope everything goes ok x
I cant remember at what stage the head was engaged when I had my daughter but I do remember seeing the consultant when I was 41 weeks and him telling me I had a headless baby!!!
