This is a very good album to start off with: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000B1LA/qid=1096 635288/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_8_1/202-2885147-5897454 It has most of the popular doo-wop tunes (Pay no attention to the reviewer!)

Dont stop Doowop features 20 great doowop hits by bands like the marcells, the crew cuts, the diamonds and of course the platters. Its a great album if you like doowop and you'll know most if not all the songs on it

Frankie Lyman & the Teenagers and the best white Doo-Wop band was Dion & The Belmonts. The best Doo Woppers doing the clubs now are the Bristol based Firebirds.
