- Lots of nighties - don't go for PJ's as you may not be able to wear them if you end up having to have a C Section.
- For same reason big knickers because you will bleed and will need to wear big pads!
- breast pads
- big ugly sanitary towels.
- big towels that are dark (no light ones0
- Washing toiletries.
- MP3 or Walkman for your own sanity
- Crosswrods (same as above)
- Something confy for coming home in
- Slippers
- some chochy treats for when you need energy
- Wet wipes
- Little hand held fan

for baby
- Lots of clean baby grows and vests (You will go through loads)
- Newborn nappies (1 pack )
- towel for baby
- Blankets (nice fleesy one you can swaddle the little one in)
- Dummies (You think you wont use them, but you may want to after all!)

Brilliant, keep them coming!!
Something to keep your lips moist! A lip balm or something.
some more ideas

- Take plenty of change with you for the phone or if you want to buy ice lollies!
camera
Nice outfit to bring baby home in
Rose's Limejuice Cordial - very refreshing (&you'll need it!)
Make sure your nightie has buttons at the front if you're planning on breastfeeding - you don't want to be hoicking it all the way up to get your boobs out!

On that topic - nursing bras, or if not breastfeeding, some bigger normal bras. Your milk will come in even if you don't plan to feed baby yourself and you'll need something comfortable until everything...umm... subsides!
FLIP FLOPS - to wear in the shower - the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be in the hospital where I had my daughter.

And Mars Bars - perfect at 3am after an hour of trying to get a newborn latched on!
arnica tablets (think thats how they are splet.) Take immerdiatley to reduce bruising & swelling of the nether regions.
