Add Text To My Home Video

Hello,
Does anyone know how to add text,title or caption to home video.I have a home video saved on my hard drive before I burn it on DVD I want to add some text.I am using sony picture motion browser but it doest have that option.
Does any body know any free software or any web address,where they do it online?

I use Nero to add captions/titles to homemade DVD's. If you dont have this software you can buy it for a couple of pounds on Ebay.
