freeview tv guide update

My freeview box has updated the tv guide and now I can't get rid of the blue screen with the information. None of the digital remote buttons have any effect. I can use numbers or P+ and P- to change channels but can only hear sound. How do I remove the blue screen and get the picture back. at the bottom of the screen is a pale blue band with a red dot at the left next to 'start', but nothing works on this. Can anyone help?

Hi , dont know the answer to your question, but in the past my freeview has gone and froze on me. To resolve it all i did was to switch it off at the plug or unplug it and when powered back up it was fine again. So maybe if you try the same this will help you out.........hope it works Grangie

Disconnected freeview box and re-connected and all OK now. New programme guide all working.
