17A Dwell constantly on a single topic (4,2,3,6) H???, O?, ?N?, ?T?I?G

12D Archaic word for a severe blow on certain bones (3-7) ?I? - ??A?O?R

I can think of lots of things that might fit - but none seem to make any sense !

Thanks for any help.

17a Harp on one String
I've also these two to finish, but have ?I? ??A?T?R for 12 down (lutz for 22a).

Thought maybe " Harp on one string" for 17a but don't think it's right!
Hi S - I think (but am not sure) that the saying 'don't harp on' may come from that saying but I have yet to find confirmation.
Thanks S xx
