Good effort but inconclusive.
It's a while since I read it, but I felt dischuffed at the time, as the vitcim is knifed whilst standing followed by the attacker melting into the crowd on board. He would in reality be drenched from head to foot in gore and so rather easily identifiable. As I recall the book was ambiguous about whodunnit. Sorry to be less than helpful.
