I have raised a formal grievance with my employer over changing commission structure without my consent and back-dating the decision, costing me approx 5k in wages!

Will the procedure be affected if I hand my notice in before a decision in made??

Thanks

As far as I know, the grievance procedure stops once you leave. Is there any way you could stick it out until the procedure is completed? I ask this because if the matter is not resolved satisfactorily you may then have grounds for constructive dismissal. The best person to advise you is your union rep.
A grievance procedure doesn't actually stop if you leave, though it possibly makes it easier for the employer. It should be possible anyway to complete the three stages of the procedure before you leave. Failing that it will go to a modified procedure where the employer only has to respond to you in writing.

It would be better therefore if you settled this before you left.
