Ive got pop ups that work even off line...how can get rid of them.

Of late I have 3 popups that some how have gotten onto my laptop. After their appearance i Downloaded the MS toolbar with pop up stopper. but too late...these 3 pop up whenever I use msexplorer....have noticed also that it takes ages to move between pages on hotmail since these 3 have moved in!!! any got any advice how to get rid of them????BTW am using ie6 and winME on laptop currently the number of popups blocked in ms tool bar is 486

Probably spyware. Download the program 'adaware' from http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?part=69274&s ubj=dlpage&tag=button (or just google for 'adaware') and let it scan your entire hard disk. You should also update your virus checker.

yes, deffinately spy/adware... get adaware from www.lavasoft.nu good luck with it
