About 6 months ago I was involved in a car accident where there was a que of 2 cars waiting to turn right and I ran into the back of one car pushing it into the other one in front, the road was damp and its was really sunny off the back of the cars infront and could not tell if the car was reversing or braking. I was interviewed and now summond to court of the charge of driving without due care and attention but when I was cautioned the police officer said I should of received a letter and showed me it address to the wrong person wich if I got the letter I could of done a drivng course and no charges would come. Where do I stand with my plea and what about this letter which they got wrong!! Is there anything I can do.

Thanks

If the police officer showed you a letter with the wrong address on it why didn't you point out his mistake?
You won't be offered a "driving course" for this offence.

There is nothing you can do but accept the punishment.

Perhaps paying for your own coures with the I.A.M. might improve your driving.
