i am downloading most of his stuff with Limewire to put onto this new MP3 player i have bought, isn't technology wonderful, back in 19something I had a Bang and Olufsen major piece of kit and that sounded tinny compared to this mp3 player. And it didn't fit in my mini Radley, progress is a wonderful thing. Who else is buzzing tonight? i can share my garth tracks with you all if u are on msn too.

I remember how smug I used to feel if I managed to record a song from the radio onto a tape without getting the dj talking at the end.

I had an amstrad midi system (really naff)
then I upgraded to a pioneer hifi (better!)

In the 80's my dad had one of them hifi's in a cabinet, it was a toshiba and it had a button that read "CD" for plugging in a CD player, we used to tell visitors that this was in fact the cd player (the button)

people never doubted us! (thankfully no one knew much about CD's then)

I remember a neighbours son came to visit one christmas and brought his record player with him and these new LPs he had bought, we had never seen such a thing and he showed us how you could drop them flat on the floor and they wouldn't break like the old 78s. It was amazing, well actually it was a beatles LP.
I remember thinking that I was the bees knees as a wee girl when I got a record player with flashing disco lights on the speakers for my Christmas. I would invite my friends over for a 'disco' and we would bop about my room to Wham and Shakin' Stevens. Ahh , the memories ! The older I got , my dad came into my room and handed me a box of records which included Thin Lizzy and The Who and I remember frowning and thinking that they were all crap - told my dad as much. So you can imagine how annoyed he was years later when I introduced my boyfriend (now hubby) and we started listening to The Who and Thin Lizzy. Funny how a handsome man can change your opinion of music !

Oh and I did that too Cazzz. Radio One sunday charts , taping as much of the song before the voice cut in. I'm ashamed to admit that most of what I taped was the Stock Aitken and Waterman crap.
