Reimbursement of wages?

I work part-time in a supermarket and my pay increases every now and then. When this happens I receive a new Contract of Employment (COE) through the post. In early May I received one, my pay had risen to about a pound more an hour than I was previously getting. I would usually hand this form to my manager to give to Personnel shortly after receiving it but at that time one of my parents had an accident. During this time I was looking after them and just forgot about the COE. I recently looked at my last payslip and realised that because I still have my COE, my pay hasn't changed. Is there anything I can do? Will the people at wages review my pay from May up until now and reimburse me?

You could ask them!!
Dont get if you dont ask!!! It would seem unfair if they didnt..especially under those circumstances
Good luck
If your Company compiles the new COE I find it hard to believe that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Surely Head Office or whoever sends a copy to payroll? Lets face it, if yours is the only copy in existance ,then theoretically you could change the pay increase and hand in an inflated increase!
I presume your COE is dated and therefore you are entitled to point out you are entitled to that amount from that date.
This written contract thing is a bit of a misnomer. The employment contract is really simple: you turn up, they pay you. They issued you with a contract and you accepted it by continuing to turn up. The only way you could have objected to it is to refuse your labour. Yes, I know employers always want you to sign things but actually that is just to acknowledge receipt.

You have been awarded a pay increase which has not been applied. Just bring it to their attention verbally as a simple oversight. If they dont make the adjustment and backdate, write them a letter asking them to. If they still dont do what you want raise a Tribunal claim or see the CAB for further advice.

Hope this helps.
