No, they will serve as a monitor but will not reduce numbers, the only way to get rid of cockroaches is to have the property professionally treated. You can not buy effective cockroach poison off the shelf. Killing cockroaches effectively is a specialised job and a job where many pest controllers struggle, this why it is often an expensive treatment as the poisons are very expensive to buy!!

Glue traps should be banned anyway!! barbaric things, I have seen the remnants of mice and rats that have chewed their legs and tails off to try and get off of these dreadful things and others that have died just through lack of food and water!!
