He can take it before flight and put it in his checked luggage.
it will depend where you are going. If he needs to take large quantitites out of the country he will need to apply to the home office for an export license, or depending on the quantity a letter from his doctor will suffice. The usa is a bit tricky with controlled drugs.
It may need to be disclosed to customs aswell, which the Captain of the airline will be informed. He (and increasingly she) can refuse ANYBODY on the flight with little reason.

Be warned that as this is a Class C drug, and soley for smack heads he may refuse flight entry.
no it isn't. I have recently organised the flight home for a terminally ill patient i was looking after whose medication included methadone. stereotype! do you always think in cliches?
Gotta agree bednobs.
Shadow Man... when my wife was dying from cancer with virtually uncontrollable pain she occassionally had to come off diamorphene injections. This was in part to give her veins a rest and also in the hope that the subtle change in regime may help a little in pain relief. Did this make her a "Smack Head"???
Please... I would like to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

some people are pretty narrow minded and judgemental .
thanks for the help people
I thank you for correcting my ways, however I am using the term "methadone programme" which to the best of my knowledge and belief is for the average smack head. I apologise I did not use the term programme in my synopsis.

If I am wrong, so be it. but I know I am not.

So pjm, is he a smack head?? Guess so. hey ho.

i agree a methadone programme seems like someone trying to come off heroin. However i was refering to your comment of
"Be warned that as this is a Class C drug, and soley for smack heads "
that is wrong on 2 counts 1) it is a class A drug and 2) it is not soley for smack heads.
