I have a small balcony (I live in a 3rd floor flat), that gets the sun for a lot of the day. I would like to pretty it up with flowers or plants. I'm not very greenfingered so the easier to look after the better. Are there any suitable flowers etc that I could get? They must be cat safe.
Ta much in advance.

Geraniums are a flower that are quite happy in the sun and don't mind if the soil occasionally gets dried out. Pansies are almost an all-round flower, there being summer and winter flowering varieties which will add a splash of colour all year round. If you're going for any green leaved bushes which keep their greenery all year round, chose those with tough leaves as up on the 3rd floor you could be more vulnerably to wind blast.
