Kittens/ cats silent miawing

Heya my 2 kittens keep silent miawing at times i was wondering what it means? They miaw normally most of the time but sometimes they silent miaw particularly when they are after food or affection? Any ideas?

I think this is normal. My cats do it to. Normally around food and sometimes when spotting birds out the window!
