Default font setting

How can I set a font size as a default setting, in Outlook Express?

I have tried to set it at 12 but it keeps reverting back to 10.

When in outlook choose TOOLS then OPTIONS select then COMPOSE tab then FONT SETTINGS make your selection then click OK then click APPLY
