Hey I was just wondering at what age you can put a collar on kittens? Ive noticed most collars say from 12 weeks but was just wondering if that is more due to the neck size or is it the age thats safe enough for them to wear one?
Thanks in advance :)

If you mean flea collars then 12 weeks is the youngest you can use them because of the chemicals they contain. You can use an ordinary cat collar (make sure it is elasticated)
at any age.

Don't use a flea collar and other flea treatments at the same time i.e spray, drops or powder.

Thanks very much for that just I'm worried about them somehow getting out as i live in a shared house and if in the event he did, he has a collar with contact details etc and wasnt sure if he could wear it or not yet!
Well for fleas he has johnsons for fleas tablets - would he be able to have a flea collar with those? cheers :)
Can I just recomment getting them microchipped - it really is worth doing and doesn't cost much. Then if they do get out and get lost, the first thing any vet, the police or a rescue centre will do is check to see if there is a microchip which will have all your contact details on it and they will be immediately returned to you. It really does bring great peace of mind!
