Natural floor tiles

I'm about to tile my bathroom floor with some natural floor tiles but i believe you're meant to treat them before hand, can anyone tell me what with???

Depending on the stone, they'll probably need sealing to stop the surface from becoming dirty. Normally, this would be done by applying two coats of sealant after the tiles are laid, but before applying a grout.
Any of the larger DIY stores should stock these sealants.
