Nothing as serious as some of the other posts but should I still feel guilty nearly 30 yrs later for the following .... When I was about 10 there was a traffic warden writing tickets in my street and I asked my mate what he was doing so my mate said go and ask before he went indoors for a mo. When he came back out he asked if I had spoken to the t/w (I hadn't as I was a scaredy cat) so I said I had tried but the t/w had told me to mind my own business and basically p*"^ off. My mate ran back indoors to get his mum who proceeded to have a right old rant and rave at the t/w whilst I stayed out of the way. Mate's mum came back and said the ignorant so 'n' so had denied it all but mates mom believed me anyway and of course I kept stum then and to this day.
P.S.Haven't seen mate or mates mum in many years.
