Just did a search on the man arrested for the threats which closed many branches of Tesco.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6916962.stm

Here he has a letter in his local paper (at the bottom of the page) He says "Our society needs to return to the reasoned application of corporal punishment.

It is worth a read. Sounds like lot's of people on here (It isn't you is it AOG?)

Well he's obviously a very reasonable fella.
Clealy he has a problem if he's prepared to makes threats which forced the closure of a number of Tesco stores........................but that act alone does not make the content of his letter any less valid.

A large sector of our youth do need rigidly adhered to boundaries because there is a worrying lack of respect, which manifests itself in anti-social and criminal behaviour.

I'm in my mid-30s and was raised in SE London, now I appreciate time dims the memory, but I genuinely do not remember the feral and anti-social behaviour and ************ that we regularly see now.

I believe there is a valid argument for corporal punishment, because clearly the softly softly approach doesn't work.

The word that AB has blanked out is f e c k l e s s n e s s.

Since when has that been swearing?
the first four letters are famously used here in Ireland as an alternative to the other f word.
I have never approved of corporal punishment but I hadn't realised it included threatening to bomb Tesco's. Do we know what he was trying to 'teach' Tesco's thorough this reasoned application?

As I live in one of the towns he targetted, I have to say it was very exciting and hit the headlines in our local newspaper and gave us lots to talk about. So maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on him.
Why are you picking on me again Gromit

Sorry OAG, not picking on you, just joshing. Did not mean to offend. Apologies.

AOG,

Thanks for your help by the way, 'partner'.
Glad we are mates once again Gromit.
Question Author
AOG,

You have been edited by ABEd. You naughty boy, you can't go around calling people names
Hang on...hang on...does anyone know how they caught this fella?

God - there's no point committing any crime nowadays with forensic techniques as sophisticated as they are.

I think it must have been smudge who has reported us, because I notice you have been edited also Gromit

I think she has been defeated and doesn't want anyone else to read the posts that defeated her.
Question Author
It certainly was a heated debate AOG, here is a collection of the personal insults, name calling and disrespect aimed at myself. I didn't go crying to the AB Ed to get them censored though. I guess it is the people who dish it out who cannt take it.

"I'd be surprised if you have brains - let alone sense!"

"...are you just a couple of idiots who spout shi!t"

unless you know what you are talking about...fook off

"...so do run along"

"I find people like Gromit downright scary and lacking something mentaly."

"When the penny does finally drop Gromit, please let me know, then I can press the 'no more responses' button!"

"I was going to ask Gromit if he'd like me to pop over, strip him of all his clothes, put a chain around his neck (oh, the mere thought of it) & force him to go for a nice long walk."

"I'd respond to you as well, but it's like banging your head against a brick wall talking to you isn't it, are you sure you haven't done a spot of boxing yourself?"

"You really are very, very, shallow minded.'
Yay, I'm famous, Gromit's quoted me...twice!!!!
I knew you loved me really Gromit ;-)
Someone on AB informs me my names been mentioned on a thread which I'm not even involved in, so thought I'd pop in & say "Hello"!

Yeah, nice to be famous innit BOO?! ;o}

Well I'm very sorry to disappoint you Gromit & anotheroldgit, but we were out all yesterday afternoon until 12:30pm today, so have only just read the posts on here & your last one on my Bear thread.

However, seeing as you have taken the time to re-post the comments you didn't like from 'other' AB'ers, here's the thread in question - p'raps you'd like to re-read some of 'your' comments which led up to them:

Boxing Bears in China

Have a nice day, ya!
BTW - still no news yet BOO.....
Fingers still crossed for you there smudge, i'm away after today for the next two weeks so hopefully you'll have some good news by the time I get back.

Take care

sorry gromit for the hijack- I'll be a good Boo now ;-)
Hi again BOO - hope you have a wonderful holiday & hope the sun shines for you & your family. ;o}

P.S. Thanks again....
