Smelly washer/dryer

All of a sudden I have noticed when I took some drying out of my washer dryer that it smelt really fusty.
My washing itself is coming out fine - smells of that new Persil small and mighty (bit strong but am getting used to it) but then when its dried its lost that smell and smells a little bit rank.
Its a condenser dryer and I know I could get something like Bounce sheets to put in but am just wondering if there is something wrong with the machine thats making it smell.
The machine is 6 years old approx.
