im afraid most holiday companies, will not accept under 18s to book holidays, you will need a person over 18 to go with you,a letter will not be accepted by them either.
Hi,

I went on holiday with a friend when we were both 17. We booked holiday to Kavos, Corfu on teletext and had no problem at all!

Did not need to give a letter or anything. I have never heard of this.
my daughter went with her friends - all aged 17- we had to give permission (by letter) to the travel agent and one parent had to be responsible for payment as the booking is treated as a financial transaction and cannot be entered into by minors. Check with the travel agent, this was 4 years ago. And for concerned parents, they went then and every year since (in Ibiza as we speak) with no problems
