error message says disk is full

I purchased a 2nd external plug and play hard drive. I plugged it up and it shows in my computer. But when I try to install a basic print shop program i still get the same error message, (Disk is out of space)? Please help.

Are you sure its not refering to the the space on your computer. Eg your compouters hard drive may be full.
