Why am I not receiving calls on my mobile when I have coverage?

I'm on Orange and often get 'You have a missed call, this person called at xxx' and yet I receive this text a couple of hours later! The phone never rang, and yet my mobile shows that I HAVE coverage (at least a couple of bars shown on the left) the whole time. This has happened dozens of times and it's very frustrating...!
Thanks.

The great mobile reception swindle.
Less than 3/5 reception is not enough to make receive normal calls, you can normally dial 999 or send recieve text messages, but its not enough.

Yes we all know its wrong, but if they really showed the ACTUAL call reception, most of us would complain that we can never use the bloody thing.

Heres my top tip, Throw the bloomin thing in the bin. Unless you are a single woman driving at night, then you probably wont need it anyway. I threw mine away and now people phone my home phone and say "How are you?" not "Where are you?"
