Beethoven Biography

Can anybody reccomend a good biography of Beethoven. I do not want a critique or analysis of his music. Basicaly I want a good read on his life. Thanks.

Everyone has their own tastes, but I thoroughly enjoyed author Maynard Solomon's Beethoven, published by Schirmer Books (1998). If you find it, be sure it's the Second Edition since it has beenup dated greatly (the original publish date was in 1977). Entertaining, but factual and a good psychological study of the great classical author and the times in which he lived...
