There is this guy that has been showing an interest in me at work. The other day he came up to talk to me and then he said "here's a treat for you". it was a bunched up peice of paper that he was going to throw out anyways. My gut tells me he did this as a way to touch my hand. do you think i'm right?

Erm, I obviously have never seen the two of you interact so can't judge whether you have a flirtatious relationship, but I wouldn't say giving you his rubbish that he was going to put in the bin but probably couldn't be bothered to is one of the main signs of courtship.

Oh sorry, I read 'gut' as 'guy' which is why I thought you'd been discussing it with your boyfriend.
Still though, like I say, he may fancy you but I wouldn't pin your hopes on this one action, and he may have been doing it to make a friendly connection but I doubt it was just so that he could touch your hand.

he's pbviously just having a daft joke - but could be just an excuse to come over to you, becasue he couldn't think of anyting serious to say, so he made a daft joke.
fact is he made an effort to come over, for a silly reason, just to talk to you.

I dont mean to be rude but are you just wishing and hoping he is flirting with you because you like him so much yourself. Just seems to me that your seeing signs that possibly aren't there?
On the other hand cant you ask him yourself, for example maybe email hi something and see what reply you get, to put your mind at rest, because its obviosuly niggling at you.
