Why if we are being told to use our washing machines at 30 degrees to fix what we done to the world and save some energy does this advert show it being used at 40 does that not kinda defeat the point of all the other adverts?

you think too much. Just because an advert shows a machine being used at 30 degrees, dosent mean you have to. They work at other temps too you know!

Not absolutely sure what you mean Loopylou21 but washing powders are now being made to dissolve at a lower temp.
You save money by washing at a lower temp and it saves on energy resorces too. Win win.
Doesn't it show the machine being turned from 40 to 30 or are we talking about different ads?

i think we are talking about different ads there is one with ariel that says turn to 30 but this one the user automatically pushes the 40 button even though the 30 is right next to it. All im saying is does it not defeat the point of saying turn to 30 by showing them using it at 40 it was just a general query.
p.s. yes i hear they work on various settings
