various regions on dvd players

If a DVD player plays copy DVD's will it play any region DVD's??? For instance ours is English Region 2 and I am wanting/ hoping it will play an American disk - Region 1......................

Am at work at the moment so wont be able to give details until tomorrow but if you could let me know then, i would be v'greatful ;-)

All of my dvd players play dvdr and dvdrw (copied dvds) and Region 2 only from the box.

They are all multi-regional now I have hacked them - easily done with the remote control.

you should find a code on there no problem.
its easy to do usually turn on dvd player open drawer .then punch in a code and then choose region.region zero plays all so easiest to pick that.
