In june last year i took out a contract with 3 through a company called simply 3g. They promised half price line rental when you send off your sixth and twelth bill.

I sent off the first six and as promised recieved the cash back.

However when i sent off the final six bills, simply 3g claim that i sent the incorrect bills and i missed out a december bill.

The thing is i never recieved a bill for december so i sent off the next six i recieved.

I believe their terms and conditions are shaky...

"Within 30 days from the date of your 12th bill from your network send the top original page of all the bills 7-12. We will then send a cheque within 45 days"

Technically i have adhered to the terms but they are saying i missed one. I have spoken to three who contacted simply 3g on my behalf and simply3g would still not accept it.

They are telling me to talk to royal mail, but they will never do anything about lost post.

Any advice?

(Sorry for the essay)

I am sorry to say that ALL these cashback companies try their hardest to stop payig out the refund. The only safe way is to send the bills by special delivery. I know it costs over 4.00 but its worth it in the end.
My particular company wanted the bills sent in at 6 months 9 months and 12 months. At 35 per month I expected a first refund of 210 but I received a cheque for 140. When I phoned them I was informed that they pay out in 3 equal instalments of 140.00. This way they hope you miss a bill and therefore break your contract and consequently do not pay out.
you will probably find somewhere in there that it says sending it in "within 60 days of the date on the bill" or something similar. If you follow everything, then you can get your cashback. You said you didnt recieve decembers bill, so why didint you contact them and ask for it? You admit yourself you didnt follow their procedures to the letter
