If I take voluntary redundancy with pay in lieu of notice when can I claim unemployment benefit?

After a period of time equal to the notice period you were paid for. Unfortunately it is regarded that you've had money for those weeks.
Ask at your local Job Centre or Unemployment Benefits Office for a definitive answer.

I doubt very much that you will get anything for the pay coveringy the notice period.

However, if you made yourself voluntarily unemployed, then I doubt that you would be entitled to Job Seeker's Allowance.

But ask them, there are almost certainly special rules with voluntary redundancy!
