Left my iPod aside for two months. Find that battery charges forever, as in 10-12 hours and still charging, but still cannot get it to offer menu of songs etc.

Any comment appreciated.

Hi almcd007 - you're dealing with a real tech thickie here...what are the five Rs????

Doc Spock: This was an expensive item and if it is only fit for the bin then Id be abandoning use of iPods.
The 5 R's are explained here:

When you say left it aside, you didn't do anything silly like leave it in the fridge, oven or fishtank did you?? Take it to PC world and tell them you bought it from them!
