I have about 30 of Irish (Eire) coins. Is there any way can change it into sterling? I don't live in Ireland!

It would be easy enough if you were in Ireland - the notes and coins can be exchanged indefinitely.

Could be worth trying the Bank Of Ireland who have a few branches in the UK:

Thanks for your answer.
The official stance is that there is no means of exchanging national coin of euro area countries other than by travelling to the country in question and exchanging it at that countrys national central bank, in this case the Irish Central Bank in Dublin.

It is possible to obtain value for national banknotes by posting them to the relevant national central bank.
