Where can I get details of camping sites for just a small tent with just a stort stay from 1 night on? I know about the camping and caravanning club which provide many sites for the larger user but I need something on a smaller less formal campsites countrywide.

This website lists both big and small campsites across the UK:

Click on the map to select a region.
Then click on a county.
On the next page, set 'Tent Pitches' to 'Yes' and click 'Search'.

http://www.bigfreeguide.com/camping/ is a good site as well, has lots of big and small sites.
