for the past couple days my betta has been flooting on his side and almost looking dead. He also stoped eating. When I touch him, he flutters for a second and then goes right back on to his side. He's almost two years old and always seemed so happy before this. Is there any thing I can do for him to make him happy again

Betta's aren't overly long lived fish and anywhere between 2 and 4 years is the average...you might have just been unlucky and he could have lived for a while int he shop before you got him.....as long as you haven't changed food, water conditions filtration or anything else then other than doing lots of small frequent water changes and trying a product like Melafix (a general fishy first aid) then you can only hope he is strong enough to pull through.
tried mouth to mouth?
