My bank refused to pay my mortgage due to insufficient funds, then 2 weeks later took over 300 as punishment for not having the cash there to make the mortgage payment, which was an oversight on my part, as more than one direct debit came out on same day. Is there a bank regulator because this was not fair, as if I didn't have the money for the mortgage, and they refused it, then they shouldn't have withdrawn the money that also was not there, for their own benefit.
