I switched my boiler off for a couple of hours while I had someone fitting a kitchen and when I switched it back on I dont get any hot water. Its fine when you turn the thermostat up the boiler fires up and the radiators all heat up but when you run the hot tap both upstairs and down it wont fire up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it sounds as though when you had yor new kitchen fitted the fitter piped the boiler up backwards (the cold water main is now going to the hot side). this could have happened when the new sink was being done. a novice mistake but it does happen. i would get a plumber out to check to see if that is the problem , or anyone with a knowledge of basic plumbing i.e the kitchen fitter. hope this may be of some help

Yep it was the pipes were round the wrong way apparently they were twisted to start with and when the fitter plumbed in the sink he straightened them out which is what caused the **** up. He did come back out ( 6 pm sunday evening) to put it right though so all is forgiven.
Thanks for your answer.
