I always sterilise my babies bottles but was wondering for how long does this need to be done? Do you do it continually til they stop using the bottle? Or stop after a certain age? And when they are weaning do their feeding spoons and bowls and training cups also need to be sterilised? etc....

I think you can actually stop sterilising at 6 months however I still did until my baby was around 7.5 months then I used to just soak them in boiling water for 5 mins and gradually cut down to stopping at all when she was around 9 months. I did the same with all other feeding equipment aswell
I sterilised dummies but I breastfed so didn't need to sterilise bottles. I never bothered to sterilise feeding equiptment, just washed up in very hot water
I used to sterilise bottles until they stopped taking a bottle as milk can be a funny thing. I used to sterilise spoons and bowls etc when I first started weaning but not for long.

Thanks all of you
I've said before, I stopped sterilising my sons stuff when he was about 5 months because I was in the kitchen sterilising and he was in the hall licking the mud off his pram wheels lol
I think that if you use a dishwasher that is quite hot enough once they get past 4/5 months - lol @ mycats - I caught my little one licking water out of a puddle in the back garden at about that age - it does make you wonder why you bother even washing their stuff! Great for the imune system though!
I stopped at 6 months as I think it helps their immune system to build up if they have a few germs.
