does anyone know if you are allowed to drive with your car boot completely open if you are carrying something in your car that wont fit in unless the boot is open or is that against the law??

It COULD be an offence under the construction and use regulations:

Causing or likely to cause danger by reason of load or passengers (Offence Code CU50)

But if you are sure that the load is safe, the boot door is safe and you comply with warning flags requirements is necessary then you should be fine.

It would be a good idea to find a way of securing the boot with bungees attached to anchor points if possible.

Many vansand lorries and have no rear view at all, nor do cars pulling caravans and horseboxes. The driver just needs to be aware and use the wing mirrors.

As she doesn't work in the fashion industry I don't think it much matters what she wears.
