my wife says by law she is entitled to half of whats inthe house as she left me. The house is council and it's only in my name all the bills are in my name is she right?

yes as your wife she is entitled to some things... even if she never worked.. as you were married it is different if you were just cohabbiting good luck!

it's not that straight forward at all. And it's not enshrined in law either. This is somethng that should be sorted between you, but if not it should go to court.

If she wins half of everythinng, get a chainsaw and give her exactly that.
