Having been a Scout & then a Scout Leader for more years than I can remember (now retired,past it). I cannot automatically lend a hand when I think it is needed. Little things, like finding the right hymn for the old dear next to you in Church and handing them your hymn book. Putting next door's wheely bin back after it has been emptied. Holding a door open for someone.The list goes on.
It is not a great effort.
