Average Speed Cameras

Has anyone ever been fined, or know of anyone who has, by an average speed camera?
There are many of the things on the M25 but we have never heard of reports of someone actually been caught and fined by one.

believe me they work,i got caught on the M1 a couple of months ago,and according to the local paper near me,there have been over 100,000 caught in the last year on the stretch between junc 8 and junc 10, do you really think they are just for show.i also know someone who was in a hurry to get to stansted and he got caught on the ones at enfield on the M25,so yes,they do work.

I did not suggest they were just for show as many people can avoid being caught by them by changing lanes.

yes,maybe that is true,but not on all of them, the ones at enfield are different,

I'ld love to be able to risk getting caught, but I'm usually stuck behind a Kia doing 35
