Thanks for your kind comments. No, I don't work in technology. My degree's in maths (which I taught for many years).
However, I'm also a qualified journalist. I do occasional freelance work, usually feature-writing on health or technology issues. (At the moment, I'm doing
any work which will help to pay the bills. I'm somewhere between 'unemployed' and 'self-employed', depending upon when you ask!)
While some of my answers are true 'knowledge' many of them are simply derived from using my research skills. Often, that doesn't actually involve much effort or brain power. For example, many questions ask things like "How do I do x, y & z in Outlook Express". I simply open Outlook Express and click the 'Help' button. Two minutes later I post an answer!
