Hi Dave,
I could be wrong but have never heard of bees eating bugs.
It could be the pollen from your apple tree that attracts them.

could the aphids / bugs be excreting a sugar solution? & the bees harvest that?

Hi Markja
Thanks for the reply on inspection it seems that there is a sugar secretion left by the bugs so the bees love it
I dont like spraying anything in my garden so will have to suffer the resulting curled up leaves and happy bees
regards and thanks to you all Dave G
