I have just put IE 7 on my laptop but I cant seem to find file, edit, view and tools (the icons that ran across the top of IE 6)...where are they??

Right mouse click near the address bar and tick menu that should get them back

You can press the Alt key to make them appear but if you want them to stay there permanently, use the above solution.
