2004 corsa 1.2 16v smells!!!

Every time I turn the key to my 2004 Vauxhall Corsa C, I get one hell of a smell coming from the air vents. It also comes from the exhaust also when starting. The smellisof rotten eggs. The car does have air con but its not on. Any ideas?

i would think its coming from your cat.

This is the smell that is coming out of your exhaust pipe, caused by the catalitic converter, quite normal.

The A/C can smell if not serviced properly though.

I remember mother teash returning a new car to the main agents insisting that somebody had left a rotten egg in her car, I let her go ahead and do so because I knew what it was but it give the fella`s at the garage a chuckle or 3:)

i have this car and sometimes i get an eggy smell also. i dont think there is anything wrong as you seem to get this smell now and again from most other models of car but get it checked if you want piece of mind.
