Anyone recommend a good fitness DVD for me? It needs to be low impact as I suffer with a knee problem though - really want to tone up and slim down though.

Thanks,

Rosemary Conley tends to be a gentle soul, the movements in her videos vary from low to high impact and she participants who clearly demonstrate the difference between the low impact/beginners version and the high impact moves. Rent a few to get a feel for what she's doing. Her Five Day Fat Burner is a 50 minute workout that can be broken down into ten minute segments.

The best low impact workout is walking, it's also something you can build up to gradually, getting off the bus one stop earlier or just walking a little faster everywhere you go can make a difference.
I'd recommend Lynne Robinson's 'BodyControl The Pilates Way'.

I started exercising to this DVD in January (on the recommendation of my physio) and the results have been excellent.

I have joint problems, so high impact stuff is out, but Pilates is fantastic for toning everything up and my stomach has never been flatter - given that I'm 41 and a mum of three, that's nothing short of a miracle lol!

I also second walking, as part of my weight loss programme I fit in three hour long walks every week and it helps to shift the pounds. Walking at a brisk pace will burn fat, where as Pilates will tone you up but won't shift many pounds.

Good luck
